Having garnered a decade of experience working with the best in the business in his native Malaysia, Sean was hungry for more. Melbourne offered a different way of life. A whole new clientele and the tantalizing thrill of a new challenge.

Drawing from his previous role as a Wella Technical Consultant and his additional years navigating the trendy Melbournian hair scene, Sean finally realized his dream of branching out on his own. The Artist Room opened its doors to the public on December 2016.

Sean embraced the "Creative Director / Resident Artist" moniker head on. From its induction, he saw the potential to market the brand for what it was: The Artist Room was a room celebrating artistry in hair form. Sean's creative calling was recreating precision cutting and reintroducing the art of The Cut to the masses.

Hailing from a family of hair savant, Phoebe found her calling in The Art at a young age. Her illustrious career in the industry spans just over two decades. Phoebe has trained under the likes of Vidal Sassoon and Toni and Guy, touring the major eastern fashion capitals of the world in the process.

Phoebe's keen eye for the next new hair trend and dedication to education makes her a perfect fit for The Room. A true hair all-rounder, Phoebe effortlessly churns out Insta-worthy cuts, colors and perms. Phoebe's signature style is wearable chic.
